There are lots of natural ways that you can grow a healthy, organic garden. You just need to learn them and use them.

Water infused with aspirin is great for combating plant disease. Dissolve three aspirin in four gallons of water. Spray the plants with the aspirin solution to help your plants fight disease. Be sure to repeat this process every two or three weeks.

It is important to keep the temperature set between 65 and 75 degrees, if you wish to raise plants in the home. It is important for them to be kept in this temperature range if they are to grow properly. Heat lamps can be used to promote growth without the necessity of raising your home’s interior temperature.

Just as when outside, plants kept inside need varying degrees of sunlight, which can be harder to obtain from indoors. If you’re living in a home that doesn’t receive much sunlight, you should consider growing plants that thrive in environments with low to medium amounts of light. Using UV lamps is a great way to grow an organic garden anywhere.

Before planting any perennials, you have to make the ground ready. It isn’t as hard as it may seem; you basically just slice down under the turf, flip it over, and spread wood chips four to three inches. Allow for at least 10 days to pass, then plant the perennials that you just purchased.

To make the most of your time in the garden, you should store all of your tools and implements in a close, accessible location. You can do this by using a bucket, or you can wear rugged pants or a gardening apron that has several pockets. Keep your gloves, pruning shears, a hand spade and your other tools handy to quickly and easily do your garden maintenance.

After seeds have sprouted, they require less warmth than they did prior to sprouting. As your plants grow, move them away from the source of heat. Take off any plastic that is on the containers to keep away from warmth and moisture. To know when it is time for this, keep a careful eye on your seeds.

Don’t underestimate pine as a great mulch. Some plants are more acidic, and prefer soil that contains higher acidic levels. For these types of plants, pine needles are wonderful for mulching. Cover up your beds with a few inches of needles. As they start to decompose, they’ll spread out acid onto the ground and soil.

One of the most important things to consider when plotting your garden is to make note of your available space. You will most likely underestimate how much space plants will need as they grow. You will also need to ensure that you allow ample space around full-grown plants for air circulation. Because of this, you should always take the time to ensure that there’s enough distance between all your seeds.

Laundry Basket

An old laundry basket makes a great way to gather your harvest. A laundry basket will act as a strainer for your produce. If you hose off your produce in the laundry basket, the water will leave the basket through the holes in the sides.
